The Ultimate Organism
Now that we've gather the necessary abilities needed by an organism to survive the harsh conditions of space, let's go about actually building it.
Our organism would be able to stop their metabolism like Tardigrade, enter a state of endospore like certain bacteria, store large amounts of fat like camel, and survive radiation like D. radiodurans. However, how do we actually go about combining these traits?

Well, no need to look further than CRISPR, in which specific stretches of genetic code target and edit DNA. Using the enzyme CAS9, we can cut specific strands of DNA and replace it with our chosen organism's DNA. The end result is an organisms that have all of the traits we have chosen.

In addition, we will insert Prochlorococcus's DNA into the Superorganism, in the same veins as mitochondria. Mitochondria were actually their own independent organisms before they were consumed by other organisms. Now, they've evolved to live in other organism, forming a symbiosis of sorts. The same thing could be done with Prochlorococcus, since they undergo photosynthesis to produce oxygen, inturn we would convert those back to carbon dioxide. Essentially, it's a self-sustaining system.

Besides, some things like shorter and smaller stature would also be coded to further reduce metabolism and melanin prodcution would be higher as protection from UV radiation. Thus, the ultimate organism can finally be built.
